Capsber began with a simple but radical belief — that biology could replace chemistry in agriculture without sacrificing yield, without compromising the farmer, and without destroying the soil.

The Beginning

A Question That
Changed Everything

In 2017, a team of microbiologists, agronomists and technologists came together in Bengaluru with one burning question: why were Indian farmers still spending 60–70% of input costs on chemicals that degraded their soil, contaminated their water, and left residues on the food they grew?

The answer wasn't the farmers. It was the system. The biological alternatives existed — the science was proven — but the formulation technology, the delivery systems, and the farmer advisory infrastructure were decades behind. Capsber was founded to close that gap.

Starting from a single R&D centre in Doddaballapur, the team spent two years building what would become BiointelX™ — a proprietary library of 30,000+ beneficial microbes, each screened and sequenced for specific agronomic action.

Founded

Capsber Global Agro Pvt. Ltd. Incorporated

Founded in Doddaballapur, Karnataka by Manoj Kumar Rupa. First R&D centre established. Initial team of 4 scientists begins building the BiointelX™ microbial library.

2019

First Products

First 3 Bio-Formulations Launched

First commercial biocontrol and bionutrition products launched. 1,200 farmers onboarded in Karnataka across paddy, ragi and vegetable crops. BIRAC seed funding secured.

2020

Incubation

C-CAMP Incubation & DBT Funding

Selected into C-CAMP's prestigious deep science incubator. DBT grant awarded for CapsulX™ microencapsulation platform development. 2nd R&D centre opened.

2021

IP & Scale

First Patents Filed · Social Alpha Portfolio

First 4 domestic patents filed. Selected into Social Alpha's AgriTech portfolio. Farmer base grows to 50,000+. CapsElicit™ precision fermentation platform launched.
