About the Product

What is CAPSVRIDH™?

CAPSVRIDH™ is a broad-spectrum bio fungicide formulated with Trichoderma viride at a higher 1.5% WP concentration with a guaranteed CFU count of 2×10⁶ per gram. While closely related to T. harzianum, T. viride produces a distinct and more potent suite of antifungal volatile metabolites — including viridin, gliotoxin and viridiol — making it especially effective against foliar diseases, post-harvest storage pathogens and seed-borne fungi.

CAPSVRIDH™ works through the same triple mechanism as all Trichoderma-based products — mycoparasitism, antibiosis and induced systemic resistance (ISR) — but its metabolite profile gives it an edge in above-ground disease scenarios including early blight, late blight, powdery mildew and grey mould, where volatile antifungal diffusion matters as much as direct contact.

The higher formulation concentration (1.5% vs 1%) translates to a higher active ingredient load per application — particularly important in high-disease-pressure environments and in crops with dense canopy where direct contact with the pathogen can be challenging.

CAPSVRIDH™ is ECOCERT India Pvt. Ltd. certified with zero MRL and zero pre-harvest interval — safe for harvest-ready crops and export quality production.

CAPSVRIDH™ vs CAPSVEER™ — Key Differences
  • Higher concentration: 1.5% WP vs 1% WP — more active ingredient per gram for greater efficacy in high-pressure situations
  • Broader foliar reach: T. viride's volatile metabolites (viridin, viridiol) diffuse in vapour phase — effective on above-ground surfaces without direct contact
  • Post-harvest strength: Particularly effective against storage fungi — Aspergillus, Penicillium, Botrytis — making it ideal for pre-harvest application on fruits and vegetables
  • Seed-borne disease: Stronger efficacy against seed-transmitted fungal pathogens compared to T. harzianum at equal CFU loads
  • Use CAPSVEER™ for soil-borne disease prevention; use CAPSVRIDH™ for foliar, post-harvest and seed-borne pathogens
  • Both ECOCERT certified — combine in a season-long programme for complete above + below ground protection
What Makes It Different

The T. viride Advantage

🧪 Volatile Metabolites
Vapour-Phase Antifungal Action
Viridin and viridiol diffuse in vapour — inhibiting spore germination without direct contact on foliar surfaces.
📦 Post-Harvest Control
Storage Mould Suppression
Controls Aspergillus, Penicillium and Botrytis on harvested produce — extending shelf life and reducing post-harvest losses.
🌾 Higher Load
1.5% WP — 50% More Active
Higher concentration means greater spore load per dose — faster colonisation and quicker disease suppression in challenging conditions.
Mode of Action

Triple-Action Protection

1
Colonisation
Spores germinate rapidly on seed surfaces, in soil and on foliar tissue in the presence of moisture, outcompeting pathogens for space and nutrients.
2
Mycoparasitism
Hyphae coil around and penetrate pathogen mycelia. Cell-wall degrading enzymes (chitinases, β-glucanases) dissolve the pathogen from within.
3
Volatile Antibiosis
Releases viridin, viridiol and gliotoxin — volatile antifungal metabolites that inhibit spore germination and hyphal growth in the surrounding zone.
4
ISR Induction
Primes the plant's salicylic acid and jasmonate defence pathways — building systemic immunity that persists even in the absence of active pathogen pressure.

Why CAPSVRIDH™

Key Benefits

🧪
Volatile Antifungal Action
Unique volatile metabolites (viridin, viridiol) that act in vapour phase — providing antifungal protection on leaf surfaces without requiring direct contact between spore and pathogen.
📦
Post-Harvest Protection
Effective pre-harvest application on fruits and vegetables suppresses Aspergillus and Botrytis at harvest — reducing post-harvest losses and extending marketable shelf life.
🌱
Seed-Borne Disease Control
Higher formulation concentration provides stronger protection against seed-transmitted fungi compared to equal-CFU T. harzianum — ideal for pre-treatment of seeds in disease-prone areas.
🔄
Stacks with CAPSVEER™
Designed to complement CAPSVEER™ (T. harzianum) — combine both for complete above-ground + below-ground fungal disease coverage across the full crop cycle.
🌿
Growth Promotion
Like all Trichoderma strains, T. viride promotes root development, solubilises phosphate and produces auxins — improving early-stage plant vigour and nutrient uptake efficiency.
Organic & Export Ready
ECOCERT certified with zero MRL and zero PHI. Safe to use right up to harvest. Eligible for organic, PGS-India and export-quality certification programmes.
Application

Direction of Use

Seed Treatment
20 g
per kg of seed
Mix 20g CAPSVRIDH™ with slurry and coat seeds uniformly. Shade-dry for 30 minutes before sowing. Provides early protection against seed-borne fungi and damping-off during germination.
Soil Application
5 kg
per acre
Mix 5 kg CAPSVRIDH™ with 500 kg FYM or compost under shade at 60% moisture for 15–20 days. Broadcast and incorporate as basal dose before sowing or transplanting.
Drip Irrigation
2 kg
per acre
Dissolve and apply through drip system. Ideal for orchards and perennial crops. For foliar disease management, combine with targeted foliar spray at 5g per litre at first sign of disease.
Best Practice: Apply in early morning or evening to protect spore viability from UV radiation. Do not tank-mix with chemical fungicides. For post-harvest use, dip harvested produce in 5g/L solution for 10–15 minutes before storage. Store product below 30°C in a cool, dry location.
