About the Product

What is CAPSVEER™?

CAPSVEER™ is a broad-spectrum bio fungicide formulated with Trichoderma harzianum at 1% WP with a guaranteed CFU count of 2×10⁶ per gram. It is one of the most extensively studied and deployed biocontrol agents in commercial agriculture globally, effective against a wide range of soil-borne and foliar fungal diseases.

Trichoderma harzianum works through three simultaneous modes of action: direct mycoparasitism (coiling around and penetrating the pathogen's hyphae), production of lytic enzymes and antifungal metabolites (antibiosis), and stimulation of the plant's own defence system through induced systemic resistance (ISR).

Beyond disease control, CAPSVEER™ actively promotes plant growth by solubilising phosphorus, producing phytohormones like auxins and gibberellins, and improving root architecture — benefits that continue throughout the crop cycle even after the threat of disease has passed.

CAPSVEER™ is ECOCERT India Pvt. Ltd. certified and carries zero MRL and zero pre-harvest interval, making it the ideal first-line fungal disease management tool for organic and export-quality production.

Key Technical Facts
  • Trichoderma harzianum — one of the most widely researched biocontrol fungi, found naturally in diverse agricultural soils worldwide
  • Triple mode of action: mycoparasitism + antibiosis + induced systemic resistance — no single-mechanism resistance possible
  • Produces cell-wall degrading enzymes (chitinases, glucanases, proteases) that dissolve the pathogen's fungal structure
  • Growth promotion: phosphate solubilisation, auxin production and root hair proliferation improve nutrient uptake by 20–35%
  • Persists in soil for 60–90 days — colonises the rhizosphere and provides season-long protection after basal application
  • ECOCERT India Pvt. Ltd. certified — eligible for organic certification, PGS-India and export quality production
  • Compatible with biofertilizers, biostimulants and most IPM-compatible pesticides at recommended doses
Mode of Action

Triple-Action Protection

1
Spore Germination
CAPSVEER™ spores germinate in the soil or on plant surfaces in the presence of moisture, rapidly colonising the rhizosphere and root zone.
2
Mycoparasitism
T. harzianum hyphae recognise, coil around and penetrate pathogen hyphae. Lytic enzymes dissolve the pathogen's cell wall from within.
3
Antibiosis
Produces antifungal volatile metabolites and non-volatile antibiotics (trichodermin, harzianic acid) that inhibit germination of nearby pathogen spores.
4
Induced Systemic Resistance
Signals the plant to upregulate its own PR proteins, jasmonic acid and salicylic acid defence pathways — building durable, systemic immunity.

Why CAPSVEER™

Key Benefits

🎯
Broad-Spectrum Fungal Control
Controls the widest range of economically important soil-borne fungal pathogens — Fusarium, Pythium, Rhizoctonia, Sclerotium, Phytophthora — in a single product.
🌿
Plant Growth Promotion
Colonisation of the root zone by T. harzianum actively solubilises phosphate, produces growth hormones and proliferates root hairs — improving nutrient uptake by 20–35%.
🛡️
Triple Mode — No Resistance
Three simultaneous modes of action (mycoparasitism + antibiosis + ISR) make it biologically impossible for pathogens to develop resistance through any single mutation.
🌱
Soil Microbiome Friendly
Improves overall soil microbial diversity and suppresses pathogen-dominated soils. Suitable for use with FERTIMANN™ and FERTIVAM™ in the same programme.
🌾
Season-Long Protection
A single basal application at sowing can colonise the rhizosphere and provide 60–90 days of residual protection against soil-borne disease — reducing the need for repeated sprays.
Organic & Export Ready
ECOCERT certified with zero MRL and zero PHI. Eligible for organic, PGS-India and export quality programmes. Safe to use right up to the day of harvest.
Application

Direction of Use

Seed Treatment
20 g
per kg of seed
Mix 20g CAPSVEER™ with slurry and coat seeds uniformly. Shade-dry for 30 minutes before sowing. Provides early-stage protection against damping-off and seed rot during germination and emergence.
Soil Application
5 kg
per acre
Mix 5 kg CAPSVEER™ with 500 kg FYM or compost. Enrich at 60% moisture for 15–20 days under shade. Broadcast and incorporate into soil before sowing or transplanting as basal dose.
Drip Irrigation
2 kg
per acre
Dissolve 2 kg CAPSVEER™ in water and apply through drip system. Ideal for established crops, perennials and orchard crops where basal application is not feasible. Repeat at 45-day intervals.
Best Practice: Apply CAPSVEER™ in the evening or on overcast days to protect spore viability from UV radiation. Do not mix with chemical fungicides in the same tank. Store in a cool, dry location below 30°C. Once enriched with FYM, use within 48 hours for maximum CFU viability.
